Hi, I’m Scott Pilgrim – a passionate innovator, strategist, and founder dedicated to transforming the built environment through smarter technologies and bold leadership. I have 25 years of experience spanning construction, property development, PropTech, ConTech, and entrepreneurial ventures. I am married and have two wonderful boys and a spanial!

What I DO.

I fuse deep practical and professional AECO industry experience and user knowledge to solve problems with smart digital solutions.

I'm passionate about managing the world’s building information, making it more accessible and useful, to enable the creation of safer, more sustainable places for everyone.

My focus is on delivering solutions that blend creative vision with practical impact. I thrive on solving complex problems, designing innovative systems, and leading teams to success and business growth.

 

I’m proud to have introduced transformative, legislative-compliant innovations like AI-powered building management tools and blockchain-enabled data tracking systems.

MY IKIGAI.

At the heart of everything I do lies my 'Ikigai' – the concept of purpose that connects what I’m good at, what the world needs, what I love and what I can be rewarded for.

I'M AN OPEN BOOK.

The following extracts are taken from my Insights Discovery 'personal profile', based on my responses to the evaluator.

This should provide you with an honest, impartial and borad understanding of my work style to gain an understanding of my approach to activities, relationships and decisions. Why hide it away?!

Personal Style.

Scott is an ingenious and original problem solver. Material wealth may interest him only for the independence it buys and for the additional opportunity it provides for his own private study. He typically does not take constructive criticism and disagreement personally. He welcomes tough, accurate, unrelenting critiques as helpful in achieving the highest levels of performance and objectivity. He can be a great “designer” of systems, which he prefers to leave to others to build.

He is a good listener, with an ability to talk well when appropriate. Outwardly quiet, reserved and detached, inwardly he is constantly absorbed in analysing problems or situations. He is not impressed with authority as such but can conform to rules if he sees them as useful to his greater purpose. His interest lies in seeing possibilities beyond what is already present and known, by using his insight, ingenuity and intellect. Although he will never ask for it, he does need positive feedback and a rationale for what he is doing.

 

His aim is to fit all the pieces of the jigsaw together into a complete picture, but for Scott the jigsaw keeps expanding with the discovery of every new piece. Scott's logical, analytical approach combined with his intuitive gifts allows him to maintain his focus on tasks and ideas rather than on the personal. He uses his thinking to run as much of the world as he can and is in his element when a situation needs to be organised, criticised or regulated.

Scott's nature is to observe quietly and he appears to be collecting data on everything. However, in an emergency, he can move swiftly to the root of the problem to deal with it expeditiously. Highly independent, Scott enjoys speculative and imaginative activities and work. He handles crises in a low key, controlled way. Scott is the conceptual problem solver, intensely intellectual and logical, exhibiting flashes of creative brilliance.

Scott is logical and analytical, an ingenious thinker and long-range planner, and good at anything that requires rapid reasoning. The process of objective analysis is a source of great enjoyment to him, with the outcome often of much less importance. He tries to use logical principles to make sense of the ideas that constantly arise in his mind.
